Ingredients
- 8 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup brown sugar, divided
- 2 granny smith apples, peeled and chopped
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- First, heat your oven to 350 degrees and coat a 9×5 loaf pan with baking spray.
- In your stand mixer, mix together the butter and sugar until it becomes light and fluffy, which should take about 1 minute on medium speed. After that, add in the vanilla, milk, and eggs one at a time.
- Next, add the flour and baking soda to the mixture, blending until just combined.
- In a small bowl, toss the chopped apples with cinnamon and half of the brown sugar. Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan, evenly distribute half of the apples over it, then add the remaining batter. Finish by placing the remaining apples on top.
- Sprinkle the remaining brown sugar on top and bake for 60 minutes.
- Once the loaf has cooled and is out of the pan, whisk together powdered sugar and water. Drizzle this mixture over the loaf for an extra touch.
