Yield: 24 Servings
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 40 minutes
Total Time: 55 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 4 large large eggs
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 14 ounces caramel, unwrapped
- 14 ounces of sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 tsp flaky sea salt
Instructions
- First, heat your oven to 350 degrees and use baking spray on a 9×13 baking pan.
- In a big bowl, mix together oil and eggs. Then, add sugar and milk, and whisk well.
- Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt by sifting them together. Add this dry mix to the wet mix and whisk until just combined.
- Now, stir in the chocolate chips. Spread about 2/3 of the brownie batter evenly in the baking pan.
- Bake for 12 minutes. While it’s baking, use a medium saucepan on medium heat to whisk together unwrapped caramels and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
- After the bottom layer has baked, pour the caramel sauce over it. Wait 5 minutes, then gently spoon on the remaining brownie batter in an even layer.
- If you have flaky sea salt, sprinkle it on top. If not, skip this step or avoid using regular table salt.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean (not wet with brownie batter).
