Lemon Pound Cake
The favorite recipe for lemon pound cake is made with fresh lemons and coconut yogurt. It’s so moist and full of a yummy sweet lemon flavor, and it’s easy to make. You should try it if you looooove lemon cakes!
Ingredients
Wet ingredients
1/2 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
3/4 cup of coconut yogurt
1/2 cup of coconut oil
Dry ingredients
2 1/4 of cups all-purpose flour
1/2 of cup sugar of choice
2 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of baking soda
1 lemon zest
1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
1/4 tsp of sea salt
Instructions
1. Heat the oven to 180 degrees C. The loaf pan was greased and set aside
2. Sift the flour into the mixing bowl. Add sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and blend well with the mixture.
3. Mix the lemon juice, lemon zest, oil, yogurt, and turmeric powder in a different bowl To dry, add the wet ingredients and blend until smooth. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan slowly. Bake for 50 minutes or till the butter knife comes out clean and goes through the center.
4. Let the cake cool in the pan for approximately 10 minutes, then turn the cake onto a plate.
