Teriyaki Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
1 1/4 lbs. Chicken breasts, boneless, skinless, and diced into 1-inch cubes
1 Tablespoon of olive oil
1/4 cup soy sauce with low-sodium
1/4 of a cup of water
2 tsp of honey
Light brown sugar packed with 1 1/2 Tbsp
1 Tbsp of vinegar rice
1/4 teaspoon of sesame oil (optional)
2 Tsp fresh ginger peeled and minced
2 Tsp of fresh garlic peeled and then minced (2 cloves)
2 tsp of cornstarch
Instructions
1- Heat olive oil over medium-high heat in a 12-inch non-stick skillet and then add chicken and brown on the bottom for about 4 minutes, then flip and continue to cook until the center is about 160 degrees, approximately 4 minutes longer.
2- While the chicken is cooking, whisk together the soy sauce, water, brown sugar, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and cornstarch in a small mixing bowl (or liquid measuring cup).
3- With the cooked chicken, stir in the sauce and then continue to cook and toss until the sauce thickens, about 45 seconds longer.
4- Serve warm with a garnish of green onions and then, if desired, sesame seeds.
