- 2 cups white sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 1/2 cups cool whip, thawed
- 3.9-ounce instant chocolate pudding mix (dry)
- 2 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease a 9×13 pan by coating it with 1-2 tablespoons of butter. Next, sift 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder over the buttered pan to ensure full coverage.
- In a large saucepan, melt 2 sticks (1 cup) of butter over medium heat until fully melted. Remove from heat.
- Combine sugar and vanilla into the melted butter, stirring until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, salt, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
- Add the dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture, stirring until well combined.
- Incorporate the eggs into the mixture, ensuring full incorporation without overmixing.
- Pour the batter into the prepared 9×13 casserole dish.
- Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 24 minutes, or until the brownies’ top is set, and the edges start to pull away from the pan.
- Once baked, let the brownies cool completely.
- In another bowl, mix 1 1/2 cups sweetened condensed milk (not the full can) with the dry pudding mix, ensuring a lump-free mixture.
- Gently fold in the Cool Whip until the mousse mixture is smooth.
- Spread the mousse over the cooled brownies and refrigerate until set.
- Melt chocolate and drizzle it over the top of the brownies.
- Serve as soon as the chocolate sets.
