Ingredients

  • 4 7 oz salmon fillets, skin-on or skinless
  • 2 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley optional
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a 13 x 9-inch or 18 x 13-inch baking sheet with aluminum foil and coat the foil with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Arrange the salmon pieces on the baking sheet, leaving space between each fillet. Season the tops with salt and pepper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, mustard, lemon zest, and garlic until well combined.
  • Spoon and spread the brown sugar mustard mixture evenly over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is coated.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through. The exact time will depend on the thickness of the fillets and your preferred doneness.
  • For a medium finish, an internal temperature of 125–135°F is ideal.
  • If desired, garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color before serving.
