Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded deli rotisserie chicken
  • 3 cups Progresso™ chicken broth from 32-oz carton
  • 8 oz uncooked ziti pasta 2 1/2 cups
  • 3/4 cup frozen sweet peas
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1/4 Tsp salt
  • 1/4 Tsp pepper
  • Chopped Italian flat-leaf parsley, if desired

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat, then add the garlic. Stir constantly for about a minute, just until it becomes fragrant.
  • Pour in the broth, add the pasta, and season with salt and pepper. Bring everything to a boil, then lower the heat to medium.
  • Cook uncovered for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
  • Pour in the whipping cream and sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese, stirring over medium-high heat for 3 minutes until the sauce is bubbly and smooth.
  • Add the chicken and frozen sweet peas, and cook for another 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until everything is warmed through and well combined.
  • Let stand for 5 minutes to set before serving. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for a pop of color and flavor.
