In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar to create your sweet and savory sauce.
Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap or parchment paper, and use a meat mallet to pound them to about 1/2″ thickness for even cooking.
Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper, then lightly coat them in flour, shaking off any excess.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter and sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes on one side until it turns beautifully golden brown.
Flip the chicken and cook for another 1–2 minutes on the other side.
Lower the heat to medium, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter, and add in the garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until it’s nice and fragrant.
Pour in your prepared sauce and let it simmer gently until it thickens and the chicken is fully cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165ºF.
Want more sauce? Feel free to splash in some chicken broth to loosen it up and make it extra saucy!
Turn the chicken over in the pan to fully coat both sides in that glossy sauce.
Plate it up and, if you like, sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley or green onions for a pop of color.
Enjoy every bite!
